Big Z!

Congratulations, Carlos!

In my years of watching baseball, I've never seen any pitcher better than Carlos Zambrano was tonight. He was better than Kerry Wood in his 20K game, better than Jack Morris in the 1991 World Series...is it the best performance you've ever seen?

I didn't get to see it live. I was busy bailing out my basement.

So, when you gonna write a poem about it??

As a Cardinals fan who has resigned herself to the fact that my team will not make it to the post-season... I am proud of Carlos and his accomplishment. I saw the last couple innings - amazing. Good for him!

What would you rhyme with Zambrano, if you wrote a poem. What a great moment in baseball history. I bet Harry Carey is up there smiling down on him.

Well, not to play up the North Side/South Side angle, but Mark Buehrle's 2007 no-hitter was as close to a perfect game as you can get - he walked only one batter, then picked him off!

Frank Castillo, pitching his almost-no-no in 95, had amazing stuff, very close to what Z had.
