Amy Rigby piece in the Tribune

Hey, folks. The Chicago Tribune is carrying a piece that I wrote on singer/songwriter Amy Rigby. Here's a link , but buy the paper if you like it, too! Thanks, and have a good weekend.

"Backpack" and "Don't Ever Change" are two of the greatest songs ever written. Imho.

I just read the article. It's great!

I still need to find out how to have a links section on my blog...

Maybe I can write to the nice blogger folks and see how that can be done on a template that doesn't have it embedded in it already...

Love,
Florence :D

Very few acts can get this geezer out to a club (esp. on a Holloween weekend) and of course two would be going on the same night. Forgive this utter tangent, but DJ Ninja of the Go! Team (they sound like a cross between the Spice Girls and Sonic Youth) is the most amazing vocalist I've seen -- though she raps more than sings and rapping is vocally less challenging than singing (vocal chords, I mean), I've never seen anyone do so much aerobic activity on stage and not get winded. Paula Abdul and Bobby Brown gallantly tried and utterly failed. Everyone I know since the early 90's has lip-synced.
